Hi,

I would like to know how to identify the sex of a Parrot ciclid and a Goldfish.

I don't know as parrots are all that easy to sex but they are generally infertile so it may not matter which you have. They can lay eggs but they don't live......altho I've heard in some rare cases they have. They are hybrid and the male is said to be infertile.

Are you asking about parrot cichlids or blood parrot cichlids? Two very different fish...

The males have longer pointed fins than the females, and if you look at there underside, there are 2 holes, the male will have 1 hole larger than the other and the females are the same size. The females usually tend to get fatty bulges,(womens hips) and the males tend to get bulbus heads, or humps. I have also seen 2 types of head structures in the parrots, they are either rounded humps like a camels back, or straight like the red devil. Hope this helps out.

parrot cichlids and blood parrot cichlids are different? I thought only the difference are the color
