can anyone please help me,i can keep my baby fish alive for about 10 days then they start to die. i have given them brine shrimp and egg laying food.
when my angle fish lay eggs i remove them to another tank, inside a margarine tub with an air line. it looks to me as they refuse to eat and starve but i am not sure.
thank you

Angelfish fry don't need to be fed until about day 3 after they start freeswimming. Until that point they have yolk sacs that will sustain them.
Fry are small and you may not notice the little food that they eat. Be sure to change their water regularly to remove uneaten food and bacteria. That's usually the number one cause of death with new angelfish breeders. Also don't forget to keep the temp in the correct range for angelfish (around 80*F if I recall).
If you have any, toss some java moss into the tank. It will sit at the bottom and give the fry a good place to hide and eat that keeps them off the bottom where all the junk in the tank will settle.

What do you mean by sucker? The filter? A plec? Secondly try to locate the fry around te gravel they may have become free swimming but they should be near the parents and do they look full? If yes then they could have been eaten. It is adviced in my opinion is you want to bred angelfish is o have an own tank for them after they have paired which yours have. I would also do a bare bottom for that tanks and provide a spawning slate and cone to povide surfaces to spawn.
Edt: ops just noticed this thread was hijacked amir make a new thread please someone will answer it but thats my opinion up to. Sorry chainmaker I didnt see you post and answered amirs accidently but wat DrNic said is right so +1 to his post.
