I have Ruffle Sword or Martii (Echinodorus major) that I absolutely love. It just set up a flower bud and I cant wait to see what it looks like. Is there any way of dividing it up?

apparently the new plant will separate itself and then you can plant it

The stalk will grow and flower and new plantlets will start to grow. Once they get some size on them and start growing roots you can snip them off the stalk and plant them. Once a sword gets going it can start pumping out babies. I had an Ozelot sword once that just would not stop.

I don't know what you are talking about, but first glance at the title would suggest that this is something that would have to be done very carefully.
