Hi,
I have 9 Black Phantom Tetras, one large male started swimming at an angle this morning, and as the others didn't, I'm wondering if this is normal behaviour, was he displaying to the females?
Should I be concerned, as all the Black Phantom Tetras, are now swimming normally with my Neon Tetras, and my Rummy Nosed Tetras.

I do not know a lot about black Phantoms as I have never kept them. The first thing I always do when I notice something unusual is test my water.

What are your nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia levels? Also what size tank do you have? What is your water change schedule? How many fish and how long have you had them? Is your tank cycled?

Sorry I know its a lot of questions, but they are all important lol.

I have been advised that this is mating behaviour of males.
