I like to tinker and make things in my off time when I am not staring lacksadaisily at my fish and I think a great Addition to the Forum would be a Do it your self Project thread/wall/topic (not sure exactly what to call it) or if not maybe just a sticky with items that would be safe to use in an aquarium, and let the creative juices flow from that. I know I have, as I am sure many have in the past, put something together and with an eagerness to test it out that gnaws away at the very innards of all the intestinal fortitude that might query "hey is this safe?". We succumb rapidly to the idea to test it, before we can have a second thought that re-establishes your innards to full sanity and check the safety of all items.
So you rush to your computer to find out if the items used in your DIY project is truly safe or not. Only to find 7 hours of web surfing frenzy later, that you still do not have an answer. I think it would help is all.
