What can cause a white haze on top of the aquarium water?

Oils from fishfood, dust from the room, or in my case, accidentally sticking my arm in my tank after putting on lotion! EEEK!!!! You can skim the surface with a paper towel and it will absorb the oily residue and should be ok...

More surface tension can help get rid of it, or well actually mix it so you don't see it. Frequent water changes will help as wel. CassieLEO , suggestion of a paper towel works well.
