Angels and Rainbows?

I would like to do a planted tank (60g) with at least one angel and my pleco. Is Rainbow fish a good neighbor and if so, which breed? If not, any other suggestions?

They are good tankmates, pretty much any of them will work. I would probably do dwarves or boesemani myself...but that is personal preference.

I keep angels and rainbows together. They do very well, I do not think I have had any issues.

Do angels do ok in the hard water boesemani seem to like?

I keep my bosemani's in hard water and they do pretty good... I have had them for 2 years without any problems. Just do water changes every week and you should be fine.

Mine get along fabulously. Turquoise, neon and boesemani all fine. I would not get the Austrialan Splendidas simply because they are very, very active swimmers. Also too nuts.

My angels do very well in hard water, and share it with a few rainbows too.
