Why doesn't animated avatars work on this forum?

ditto. its really hit and miss. i had the old grand theft auto one that was animated kinda and worked, yet some didnt. sergo had a few cool smiley ones that worked

a .gif is a .gif, right?
i dont think it would have anything to do with the forum.

maybe try hosting the file elsewhere, instead of uploading it.

tried that same thing, also tried three different ones with no luck.

yeah thats probably the case.
though, if its over the limit i think it just wont allow you to use it at all.

size is everything with the animated gifs. they have to be small. i have a ton of them i'd like to use but they are just out of specs.

I agree about the size, I resized mine about 3 times before it worked.

i've never been able to resize animated gifs and still get them to be animated. i'm just not doing it with the right program, what do you use cracka?

Ulead gif animator, I think it was called (I resiszed it on a freinds PC) here is the link to the homepage, I don't know what limitations the trial has.

Thanks crack. I downloaded the program (not from the link you sent, I got a full version elsewhere), Resized the gif and it worked.

Nice, I had one I wanted to upload but was to big, I might re-size it and see what it looks like with that program.
