The one I am holding is now 2 1/2 the length of my 48" tank and I have cut them back numerous times. Killed them off once but now a year later they are back. These Italians are more suitable for an 8 Ft tank. Really not working in a 4 ft.

Oh my, it looks like your pants are doing great, any better and it will be like yard work.

No.

The rest of my tank could use a bit of Excel but Excel killed these vals twice already. Don't feel like waiting another 7-10 months for them to grow out again. Might have to remove them from the tank, do my Excel regime and replant but what a hassle.

Well cliff what u think of ladyhobs pants is between u and her lol. On the other hand your plants look like they are doing awsome. I'm adding vals to my planted soon.

LOLOL Cute.

Another option to vals is spiral crypts. The look pretty awesome, grow up to the waters surface (and more) and spread out, too.
