just got new plants need help please

Just got a potted species of cryptocoryne...label didnt specify and a potted micro sword plant... i need tips on planting them. can i take them out of the pots and plant them onto my sand substrate?

Take them out of the pot, remove the sponge like wrap on the bottom and possition them in the substrate. Make sure to read up on the plants requirements.

Yup.....Thats the way.Make sure to not plant too deeply.You want just the roots buried,if you cover them to the stem crown it can cause rot,especially with the sword.The sword will be difficult to keep down till the roots take hold.I used bamboo skewers broken and bent into a v shape to staple anchor the roots into the gravel.
