Snail Question

I recently bought 2 large apple nails.
I did not realize that the Bumble bee cat fish is a predator of these... howerver my cat is only 1.5 to 2 inches long,will he eat the Apples? They are hiding in a cave and not coming out..

Thank you Im new to this... they are alot bigger than he is..and he really doesnt seem aggressive. In fact I barely see him.. However I havent seen my snails in a day or so either..

the catfish is nocturnal. he comes out for prey at night. with aquariums, fish are a whole new personality at night
