I have 6 bleeding heart tetras in my tank, and they seem to not enjoy eating simple flaked food on a daily basis. Is there a good substitute and other good choices to feed them?

Not sure about veggies and everything as my family has always fed just flake food.

frozen brine shrimp(or live if you can get it)freeze dried daphnia for a treat.these two foods will bring out more red in the BH tetras.

they don't seem to be eating alot. I just treated for ich and had two fish die. Did I do something wrong? I followed the instructions as directed

What size tank? What are the test readings? Those tetras should eat just about anything, I have never found them to be picky.

29gal and all the parameters are fine, the temperature is the recommended temperature. I had recently got them so I believe they had just been settling in. However they developed ich soon afterwards, and the treatment hit them pretty hard with 4/6 dying.

It seems whenever we buy from the one petstore we always get ich in our tanks, so I will be talking to someone and hopefully they will get this resolved.

What are the exact parameters? What you may have been told is okay may not be and we just want to double check for you.

I only feed and recommend New Life Spectrum Thera+A. I also did this at the shop I was running and we rarely had ich pop up.

I recommend Hikari micro pellets. I've been feeding all my fish Hikari for years now, and it keeps them all looking great.
