I used to just have one Anole in a 10g.

Today I went Shopping.

I bought:

20g
second Anoles, so now I have two Anoles in a 20g

The 10g I had for the 1 Anoles I bought 2 Firebelly Toads for the 10g. I may go back next weekend and get a 3rd Firebelly toad.

I have not been to this Fish store in 2 week. Since last time they have recieved Tree Frogs, Chameleon, Iguanas and it starts with a M and looks like Aligators.

My question is
They call it a small green Tree Iguana and cost $26.99.

I was wondering could I put that Iguana in the 20g tank with my 2 Anoles if I buy it?

I don't know much about Lizards.

You should never mix species when it comes to lizards. I would pass on the new lizard, or buy another tank if you want to have one.

I don't know a whole lot, but from what I understand mixing species is not a good idea. This is based on some reading I did a few years ago when I kept a green iguana.

Ill ask my neighbor. He is the reptile guru. Or you could wait for the poster formerly known as reptileguy2727 (now fishguy2727)

Also, this thread is in the wrong section.

He changed his name? No wonder I get so confused...no faces...new names...same person...

Lizards eat other lizards...not a good idea to mix, esp. in a small space...but some can go together...anoles and long-tailed grass lizards for example.

I have anoles and long-tailed grass lizards, but I wouldn't recommend it. I got them on the advice of the "guy at the store" and like always, he was wrong. I couldn't return the anoles, so I have kept them together in a very large tank. If I could do it again, I would stick to one or the other.

Here's a great site on anoles and other lizard. Very knowledgeable.

Everyone that posted here is correct and you especially don't want to mix a iguana with little lizards. I happen to know a bit more about reptiles than I do fish. And if I were you I would have reccommended a 20 gallon long tank for the lizards, they would have loved that. My friend has a smaller iguana that is about 2 feet long including the tail and he has it in a 55 gallon tank.

where I live the green anole are all around. and they appear kind of possessive of the turf. I dont think they would bond to readily to other species.
