Yeah i know turtles arent fish but, i've found info on feeding newly hatched turtles but what about unhatched
Ok the government dug up a pond so it could expand but in doing so they dried it out for a while, so i was walking round and found a large female turtle, i grabbed her and took her home so i could look after her till the pond refilled when it did i took her back and put her in the pond, and then when i came back i found she had layed eggs only one survived tho, but it didnt hatch the egg shell was broken so i pulled it apart further to see what had formed a baby turtle which has an unformed part on its stomach was in the shell and it was moving so i put it in some water and it is slugishly moving around any ideas?

Sounds like the young turtle wasn't fully developed when the eggs shell broke. (predator?) I say give it a home and se if it survives but I wouldn't have to high hopes.

It should however be noted that I am in no way an expert on turtles so I might be dead wrong.

What temperature is the terrarium? I kept some box and painted turtle when I was young and they like it quite warm to remain active.
