My little brother bought a hermit crab down the shore. Is it ok to use quickrete sand in the tnak. It says it contains crystalline (sp?) Is that bad or can it be safefly used? (if any of u have used it for fishtanks and its safe then it should be for crabs i think

Tropfish, I've never kept hermit crabs but was going to, got a really good book to prep me about them, so good in fact I decided instead to set up another fishtank instead!
If you can wait 12 hours, I can have a look at the book as it goes into substrates thoroughly, then let you know.
