Mouth fungus. Easily treated but does need treatment.

he got mouth fungus, and you need to treat them all.
the sooner you begin the better. mouth fungus can take the long while to kill the fish. but if you begin now you should save him.

I would get a med strictly for fungus and isolate him if you are able. Fungus meds can mess with your bioload in your tank so don't be changing out any filters at this time. Also, if you're using carbon you need to get rid of it until after you've treated then use it again to remove the meds.

Jungle Labs has drop in pellets that work well for fungus. Like $2.39 for 8 tablets.

Never use table salt in your tank for anything. It contains iodine. Any time you hear of salt in the forum, they are talking of aquarium salt or cichlid salt. Two different things, again.

I had a friend who would isolate the fish for a few days and treat with salt and methylene blue (med. for ick). Regular table salt can be used once it is not iodized, i usually use morton table salt.

Yup. Any of those meds are good stuff.

I see you still need a haircut. LOL

Question is will these medicines hurt my baby fry?

They may. I don't think you should take the chance.

You might have to put him in a dry box or cooler or something and add an airstone. Not a perfect solution.

hmmm ok i guess i can fill my 6 gallon tank up temporarily. It isnt cycled but i dont think one little fish is gonna build ammonia levels up that fast so i doubt it'll hurt him.

I agree that isolation is a good idea. You'll be able to monitor the situation more carefully and decrease the chance of cross-contamination. Watch the ammonia readings in the iso tank to make sure all stays well on that end. Hope it works out for you!

If you treat the whole tank the meds might kill off your bb.

A med like Pimafix shouldn't hurt the bacteria. Antibiotics maybe depending upon the specific targets of such.
