So for chritsmas my sis. got me a crowntail betta. I was wondering if they could live in the same tank as a couple of fiddler crabs since all I have is the one 30g tank I'm turning in to a fiddler tank and a betta bowl (plant bowl there not kidding me). I'm thinking since bettas are fast the fiddlers won't be able to catch him very easily. Please tell me if I'm wrong about this cause I don't want him to die. Thanks in advance for helping a n00b like me!

With those long, flowing fins, I would think the Betta would be vulnerable to the fiddler's pinchers, especially that huge one they have. On the other hand, a 30-gallon tank is a lot of space for a single Betta to swim around in, and so he could escape the crabs quite easily, if there aren't too many of them. You might find he'll hide a lot, though, if he develops a fear of being pinched. If I were you, I'd keep them separately.
