canister filter

we just got a 120 gallon aquarium that we are setting up for discus. we are looking to buy a canister filter and in-line heater. My question is will one in line heater work well enough for this size tank or should I go with the Eheim pro 2 thermo filter. this has the heater built in to it. We are trying to avoin having 2 submersable heaters inside the tank. thank you for your time.

you will need a 200 to 300 watt heater for the tank. i say get two heater, that way if one broke there still one in the tank.

I agree. get two heaters. It gives extra security and if you use two heaters you can use a little lower wattage and it would therefore not have to be that much more expensive.
