I have LIFE!!!

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday...had 'outside' stuff to do (imagine that!)...

...when I went to check on the tank in the morning...nothing (except some macro - at least 3 species - that survived shipment)!

...when I went to check on the tank at supper: LIFE!!!

I have diatoms EVERYWHERE! LOL...on the rock and on my previously pristine white sand...

...and I have at least 3 polyps...I think they're aiptasia...but at this point I don't care...and if not...YAY!

Checked this morning...and the diatoms are dividing to beat the band!

...it's day 20 today...and it looks even worse! Half the algae has died off...and the rest grew longer and hairier...

Hubby is running around calling it the 'Stephen King Tank'...:c11:

BTW...did I mention I bought my anemone...it's a baby Green Bubble-tipped! So cute!

But before anyone panics...it's staying at the anemone-sitters until my tank is ready for it...so it'll be a while yet...I still have to raise the salinity a bit and get a clean-up crew installed...

I've always wanted a saltwater aquarium. But i dont want to learn all these new things lol. I just learned how to keep freshwater fish alive. I dont want to kill anymore fish lol.
