This is my first time here. I have a problem in my tank, and they are called hydroids. They look like very small fan worms, but have a tendancy to take over a tank and sting and eventually kill corals. I have read about a nudibranch that eats it, but won't harm other corals. In fact, I read it in one of the Reef Aquaruim book by Julian Sprung. They also said that a key-hole limpid will help control them too. Does anyone else know anything about these, and where I can find them? When I go to a fish store and ask about them, I get a resounding "Huh??" It is frustrating...

Keyhole limpets are a wonderful addition to any salt tank. I had a couple of them show up as hitchhikers on some rock. Not only will they eat hydroids but they will eat algae too and best of all they will reproduce in your tank!
You can buy them here...
