Hi my sister bought six guppies on saturday and she says they have only eaten a tiny amount but not alot. They seem to swimming around ok. they are the only fish in a 10g tank with no real plants. Dont know the amonia etc readings. what can be the problem?

my guppies usually don't eat for a day or 2 when first introduced to a new tank stress of a new environment and all id recommended taking a water sample to your lfs or perhaps changing there diet as my guppies are a little fussy which is weird as they are usually pigs and will chomp down anything they can lol

if the tank isn't cycled id say that's your problem

Uncycled tank, parasites, pregnancy, any number of diseases, stress, lack of o2, toxins in the water, PH swings, temp swings, chlorine, picky fish, bad food.

Its probably one of those above.

Without any of the readings on the water quality or any external signs (spots, redness, etc), your guess is as good as ours.

Its like going to the doctor and saying I dont feel good. I dunno my symptoms, I just dont feel good. Now tell me what is wrong and make me better.
