so when i first set up my 20gallon i got a golden wonder(unknown sex but i know its female now) who has lived for about 5 months. I went through 3 other guys, one jumped out, one died unknown cause and one decided to swim right under the melaflix stream when i was healing my dwarf cichlid.

anywho, i did see some spawning action about 1 month ago and to my surprise i single baby golden wonder staying hidden in the clump of floating anacharis/hornwort mix. Such a nice surprise.

Got him in the breeder net now, can he take finely crushed flakes or i need to get some of the fry powder stuff?

btw if anyone is wondering, water parameters at 7.5ph and 79 degrees.

I had the golden wonder before and liked him a lot. Crushing up flakes very fine using a rolling pin works well. He'd also like some brine shrimp. Killies are jumpers and should be in a covered tank.

i went and bought some small bites fry food and he loves them. Hopefully he/she can grow up and become second generation tank member.

ah man he just died, he was almost 3 months old and just croaked out of no where. I found no external fungus or bacteria or soars on him, but 2 nights ago my tank did take a 24 hour drop in about 10degrees of temp because i forgot to plug the heater back in during a water change. However, he seemed fine the days after when i got the temp back up.

so generally why do fish fry die?
