Hi all,

Been a while since I've posted, and wanted to share the last addition to my 80g fw planted tank.

I'm stoked about my new discus.

Very nice Discus. I want to try my hand at them myself. Where did you get the Discus?

Thanks Hobbs, for moving to the appropriate place.

I got him at one of my lfs here in L.A. They are crazy expensive here, at $100 each, but I know the guy at the lfs, and got him for about $60. I hope to get a couple more, but at the price they are selling them, it is gonna be a slow increase. I probably should find a new home for maybe my scissortails or glass cats, as I don't want to overcrowd anybody.

A group would be a good idea, but yeah, I know how expensive they can be.

As for the other fish, keep an eye on the gourami. Also, is that a siamese algae eater I saw in the photo? Keep an eye on him to, they can get aggressive.

LA has a ton of fish clubs, google SCAPE(southern california aquatic plant enthusists) I know they have swaps often and to be honest, the bigger the discus the more it costs, I buy mine around 1.5"-2" for a cost of about $25 each.
