I bought some moneywort a couple weeks ago and it was in terrible condition when I bought it. I planted it in my 60 gallon (currently only 45 watts, which is being replaced tomorrow). Well after about 1.5 weeks the bottom of the stems started to rot so I took out the entire plant chopped off the bottom part of the stems... I planted it in my 10 gallon (30 watt light), and it still wont grow back. So I am wondering, will it come back or should I buy some more?

Thanks!

Is either of the tanks Co2 injected? If not you may simply have gone from one extreme (far too little light) to another (far too much light). To little and the plant simply does not have the energy needed to photosynthesize to much and your asking it to run a marathon with no fuel (not enough Co2). Non- Co2 enriched tanks tend to do best between .9-1.5 wpg, depending of course on type of lighting (T-8, T-5, MH) and the distance said lights are set from the substrate.

I am not injecting with Co2, although I am dosing daily, with flourish excel.
