AFter setting up my plants and when they root is it ok to move them around as long as I am careful with the root system? I am not going to move my plants around every week but when some of them get bigger I might want to move them to a different side of the tank, etc.

Obviously they would do better if they were left to grow a good root system but I have moved my several times. TOOOO many times! I totally un-planted my 55 gallon today and moved them all into my 20 gallon. My lights were not good enough in the 55 gallon and I need to get my Silver Dollars back in that tank. (They eat plants.)
I think that's part of the fun of having plants. Transplanting them, taking cuttings and starting new ones, etc. In 6 months my plants should look decent but right now they need more light.

DIY CO2 as well!! especially in a small tank like a 20 would work nicely.

Well, if you are moving a plant with an extensive root system (which isn't reccomended), you should cut off the roots so there is maybe there 0.5 to 1 inch of roots. This helps them get reestablished faster, prevents roots from rotting, and makes it waaaaay easier to plant.
