Your tank looks nice! :c5:

I love the looks of banana plants but unfortunately I have never been able to keep them alive! What's the secret??

The pots are a good way to keep them especially if you think you may move them. I found it works good for bunch plants, as well. The fish don't tear them up as much.

To be honest with you, I'm new to plants and don't know what the secret is. Every so often I try to inject CO2 into the tank as you can see with the injector to the left of the tank but most of the time I mess up the recipe and it doesn't work well or doesn't work at all. I haven't been doing that for a while as a result. What I have been doing is a combination of good soil (flourite), fertilizer tablets, and a strong flourescent light. I do leave the light on longer than I should sometimes and I have to counter that by cleaning the algae from the sides more frequently. I bought the banana plant when it was tiny. The leaves are starting to show a little brown though so it isn't a complete success.

Sometimes being new to something means you don't have any pre-conceived notions on how things should work, and that can be a positive. CAN being the key word there. Maybe you'll be able to unlock the secrets of keeping those plants!
