Hello,
I just wondered if anyone has seen the courtship behavior on the Dwarf Neon Rainbow?
I have a male and a female in my 15 gallon, and for the last week the male has been chasing the female around and "facing off" with her. What is really interesting is that the ridge that runs from his nose to his dorsal fin actually flashes a yellow color when he confronts her. It looks almost like a blinking headlight.
I have seen rams changing colors while "fighting", but the color displays on the rainbowfish were very surprising (I have not seen them mentioned on any websites).
