I REALLY want to get a couple pieces of driftwood in my 20 gallon or just 1 is fine. I was wondering if any one knows any places in las vegas to get some? or is it possible to make my own, if so what woods can be used?

Any pet store (LFS or big commercial pet store) should have them in stock or could order them for ya. There's also the online stores like Foster&Smith and BigAl's as well as individuals on Aquabid, Plantedtank.net, and many others who sell pieces.

Most hardwoods are safe, if you have a clean lake nearby (doubtful though) thats a great place to gather wood. I got mine from the mountains. Aspen wood I believe.

In my experience the small ma and pa fish or pet stores will have a much better selection of driftwood than big chains like PCO or PSMART. I don't live anywhere near las vegas but my guess is to check there first.

Yeah, I got mine from a small LFS. No luck at Petco/Petsmart.

A fellow las vegan here. the one store that had really good driftwood closed down. I would try either f.I.s.h. on Bruce and Charleston(amazing store, bad neighborhood but the best store in town I've found) or Atlantis is also a good store. Their address is 1930 rock springs rd. I've bought most of my driftwood online at aquabid.com just because I like manzitian wood
