synodontis Nigriventris

So my pleco died this morning. This is the second pleco ive had die in about 1 month and a half. I have no clue what is killign them , water parameters are great and i know they eat. I'm thinking of going with upside down catfish(synodontis Nigriventris) as a replacement. I was wondering if anyone had had these and if they could tell me about them. What they eat, do they like to school, dangerous to plants, how laarge they got, how they act, etc.

I dont know if it mentioned it, but most people say that you wont see your UDC alot, but i had one that was always out, so, you never know.
