Plant ID please

I was in the store today to get some Danios and "Bob" asked me if I wanted this plant too, I said sure. Now I don't know what kind it is, but I love free stuff :)

POssibly a sword plant, but I'm not sure.

it looks like an anubis species but there is no size reference so I am not sure.

Either anubias nana

anubias barteri (coffee anubais)

personally it looks large, so I think it is the coffee anubias.

I think you hit the nail on the head hungryhound. I googled it and I think it's the same plant. I was concerned it was a plant that was going to need specialized conditions, but if it's an annubias, then it's easy. My fish love it and it looks great. It's about 10" long, so it fills the end of the tank nicely.

i have some in my tank and My loaches love it. They curl up in the leaves and play dead.

I thought it was coffee anubias based on the size of the rhzome but was not sure if that was a trick of the zoom on the camera. Glad to hear that I could help.
