Hi guys, i bought a giant hygro about 6 weeks ago and it was a big bunch, about the size of an American football.

To date it's shrunk to about half it's size and daily i'm having to fish out some of its leaves scattered about the place.

I understand that plants shed leaves to begin with in new tanks, but this seems a bit excessive! All my other plants are growing well and have no problems there. Water params are fine. I have CO2.

I have 1.6w per gallon of lighting 10hrs a day.

What's causing this rapid shredding of leaves?

It may be adjusting to your tank or to underwater growth. Give it some time to adjust. Are you seeing any new growth?

The LFS store i bought it from had it submerged like i do. I'm not experiencing ANY new growth at all.

Also my KH is 2 and PH of 7.5
I have an airstone buried deep in the plant which gives of CO2 from my DIY setup. Cos this be the reason? Like an overdose of CO2? Should i move the airstone further away?
