I have oscars, one is floating on his back. He isn't dead, but really sick I think. What do I do. Can they be taken to the vet??? or Pet store for help??
I am serious, They have never done this before. I haven't had any problems with them. And they are really large. What do I do?????

What size tank, what are you feeding, how big are they, what tankmates, and what filtration?

Totally agree with Rue. Large water change stat and do large water changes weekly and gravel cleaning.

Some more info on fish's condition and behavior would help, too.

Any wounds or sores? Any spots or small bumps? Any streaking or blotches which resemble blood below the skin? Anything unsual at all with external appearance?

Does he seem perfectly healthy but unable to sit upright in the water?
-in that case he may have an injured swim bladder, the organ which is responsible for balance and positioning upright.
Any flicking/flashing? (sudden movments to rub against an object in the aquarium, usually associated with irritation from external parasites.)
Does he still accept food, or try to eat?

Welcome to AC:22: .

The more info you can give, no matter how silly it sounds, will help members to try and help with your oscar.
