Great pics!. If you put on a dark blue background, your fishes colors would REALLY pop.
Looks great! Just needs a background...too distracting without one...
Is it just me, or does blue gravel really seem to be popular on AC? Other than that (and no background), very nice.

Actually, it's pretty popular in a lot of forums and on other pictures I see on the net. I happen to have 80 pounds of it myself in a closet. :) It's a common color sold even at Walmart so guess that makes it easily accessable.
My tanks are all brown substract now and I'd like something different for my next tank. Black won't show my fish up properly so I'll probably drag the old blue back out.

You can make one out of construction paper, that's what mine is made out of.
Erik, don't think in terms of your tank being better or as nice as some others, think of it as what YOU like. Looks good. Get a background. Think outside the box if you wish, construction paper or cloth material can work wonders.

Exactly! If you want a really a professional looking background, use a satin spraypaint, and mask off your edges and put on a couple thick quotes. Check out my How-to in the DIY section.

Blockposters is awesome. Make sure you fiind a pick with the largest size possible for a clear poster.

Erik... I like your tank! Those mollies look very healthy! Good job! Remember, it is your tank... not anyone elses... so as long as you like it, that is all that counts!

I have my 4 yr old paint backgrounds for our 10g tank. That way we get to change them out whenever we're feeling creative
