I meant is rainbowfish part of the same branch or related to killifish sorry. :)

No, they're entirely different. Killifish are members of the order Cyprinodontiformes, family Cyprinodontidae. Rainbowfish are members of the order Atheriniformes, family Melanotaeniidae. There are many different species of each, but they are very much unrelated.

That's what i thought, but I read somewhere or someone told me that rainbowfish are related to killies but it's good to have better clarification.
