Do snails eat plants?

Those little pond snails that come with live plants ... do they eat plants?
I suspect they might eating my foxtail and baby tears because both are getting brown leaves. Anubias nana seems fine though. If the snails don't eat plants, I will have to figure out what else is making my plants unhappy.

i think they may take the odd nibble if theyre hungry, not sure. chrona knows alot

In general snails only eat dying or sickly leaves, though there are always exceptions.
