I have paylathids growing in my zoathids how do I get them out of the middle before they take over??? I tried to give a little tug and they are in there tight. the only thing I know to go to next is the knife. Need help on this one please

You should be able to scrape them off with a razor. Just be very careful and wear eye protection and gloves. Pally's and zoa's both have a nasty toxin called palytoxin which that can make you very sick or blind if ingested or if you get in in your eyes.
