Picked up a couple dwarfs yesterday for my small tank. Never kept them before, they seem really neat so far!

Very pretty, keep an eye on them sometimes two males do not get along in a small tank.

How large is the "small tank" anyways?
Sometimes males can get very territorial.
They are beautiful specimens, though.
Good luck with them.

Its a 10g. It might be a tad small but I think it will be ok. I have a large root and tons of rocks plus floating plants. There's been some agression, but they're getting better as they hammer out their territories. There's so many places to hide.

We just got 3 dwarf gouramis Sunday. They are all getting along in the QT tank. I didn't realize all the brightly colored gouramis would be males. My husband chose them without me there so I didn't see if they had females, but from what I read on here, they probably didn't have any.
What kind of aggression do they demonstrate if they fight?

Aggression can be shown by chasing each other, circling each other, or in the worst of cases physically attacking and killing each other.

Yes. Somewhat similar to male bettas.

I am lucky so far - no fighting at all. I have the orange ones like the 2nd picture. I was wondering if they have a color morph name? I know it's Dwarf Gourami, but I keep hearing about blue, flame, etc.

If yours looks like the one in my second picture, then you have a normal Dwarf. The blue one is a Neon Blue color morph.

I got a couple of powder blue last weekend. They are in a 29 g and doing fine which each other, both males (they didn't have any females).

The orange color morph are called Dwarf Flame Gourami.
Not if they look like the one in my second picture, that's a normal dwarf. The Flame dwarfs are solid orange, no stripes.

Oh yes, agreed. I have a natually colored dwarf gourami in my 20 gallon long. Some flames will still show striping depending on how strong the orange coloring is.
