Funny/Sad/Adorable Fish

today i was at my LFS looking a tank of juvenile green terrors (if i remember correctly), and i was confronted with a very strange sight. in the tank there was a fish without a caudal fin (tail fin). instead there was a perfectly smooth and scaled stump. needless to say the fish was an apt swimmer. keeping up with the others without to much effort.

i couldn't help but laugh watching it swim though. the stump wiggled back and forward as the fish's caudal fin would.

i seriously considered buying it. but it would eat the rest of my stock =P.

i hope it survives.

I would say that someone was not watching there fish very well. IMO that fish should have been done away with long ago.

you're probably right. but it has survived this long, (it was about 3.5 inches). don't think it would be a good competitor for food in a community tank though.
