I have been looking around for branches for my tank but doubt they will remain on the bottom. I am a bit worried about fish getting poked in the eye, as well, so will have to cut the ends off to a blunt cut.
I was considering getting a 2 inch piece of Styrofoam and covering it with sand and rocks and adding the branches this way. Possibly gluing the branches into the holes of the styrofoam even.
Does anyone have any idea's I can go with other than this?

i would think that adding Styrofoam would make the branches more bouyant and more likely to rise to the surface. I have always found that if i boil my wood long enough it will eventually get water logged and sink to the bottom.
You may try siliconing your branches to a piece of slate if you are still worried about it floating to the surface.
I would think that the branches should be okay in their current condition provided the ends are not super sharp. Cutting the ends might make the wood seem unnatural. I would try breaking it before I cut it.

Those I would love! Haven't been able to find anything like that online tho that doesn't cost a small fortune.

Hmmm what kind of branches will you use, be careful that they dont leak any poisonous stuff into your water.
Maybe a nice "Bamboo-Forest" would be a more safer idea. Glue them with silicone to a piece of slate, could be a nice place for your Angels.

Sounds good too. There's a construction site down the road that just clear cut about 30 acres. I may prowl around the site today to see if I can find some old weathered branches. That is unless I run into the construction crew and they run me out of there. LOL
OK......this idea is scrapped. I would have no idea of how old the wood is and it could still contain sap. I should have my daughter send me some mango roots from FL. I will still look around and may find a branch I think will be very, very old.

Hobbs, What size tank do you need them for? There are ton's of driftwood here around the lake. Give me the dimension your looking for

I want them for a 75 gallon and your offer is great but shipping is ridiculous.....especially something heavy and wet. Here I am myself, just minutes from two lakes but the darned cottages sit nearly on top of one another. No way to search without walking in someones back yard.
I just have to get busy myself and go in search but honestly, your offer is so generous and kind and I thank you so much!!

There is so much driftwood here that the Feds have a barge that works 5 day per week chipping it
