I just picked up a Tropic Marin Calcium test kit today. I read the directions well and still managed to need to redo it (after realizing my mistakes) but I was very happy with the result of 472ppm Calcium. I know this is high so I will stop the Purple Up for a while and see what happens (this is the only supplement going in and I have not done a water change in 2.5 weeks). The KH did not come out nearly as well, but that was with a very old Hagen kit so I ordered more kits from Tropic Marin (KH, Phosphate, Nitrate, and pH) and a Red Sea Magnesium kit. I am not big on testing but I do think it is important to do occasionally, especially when trying new products (I am using Purple Up now and when this bottle is empty I will be trying B-Ionic).
Although it is a little complicated, if you read the instructions first and then follow them it is not a hard test to do.
I will update with the other numbers when I get the kits.
