this is my zoanthids ( I hope I can get this pic up) . I was wondering if this looks good to you guys. In the pics I have been looking at of these little guys, I have noticed that the tenicals surrounding the center seem to be a little more out or not so curled in as mine. I was wondering if this is normal for some or could my zoanthids be a little to close to my light. I have three t-5 high out puts lighting the tank. the zoanthids are about 10 inches away from them.
any opinions would be great

The ones sticking out further look like palyanthids and not zoanthids. What can end up happening is the difference in size will get bigger and bigger until the palyanthids simply block all the light from the zoanthids and take over completely.

what would you reccomend I do to prevent the take over and do you think the bigger ones could be to close to the light or do they look good

Light isn't an issue.
The only things I know of is to break the rock apart with zoanthids on one piece and palyanthids on the other (if they are arranged in a way that allows this) or simply treat it like aiptasia and kill it off if you like the zoanthids more. Killing them is something you could do later if they prove to be that problematic.
