I was wanting to get a few snails to help control algea in my 155 gallon freshwater tank but I don't know what kind is best at algae control. also how many will I need to get to control the algea in my tank? Is there a kind that will not only take care of the glass but the decorations and the gravel as well? Also is there a kind that is plant safe?
The fish I have in the tank are Angelfish, Blind Cave Tetra, Guppies, and Swordtails.

other then bigger snails that dont reproduce on their own I think MTS' are a great option, they breed to tank needs and stop, live bearers not egg layers so their numbers dont get out of control fast.

I keep them in all my tanks and I rarely ever see algae, especially great for planted tanks.
