I'm trying to look up some info on this specific cichlid. Either mataguan or mataguese. I cant remember. Anyone help? Thanks.

What you refer to is either the jaguar cichlid P. managuense or P. motaguense

big predatory fish that likely will not tolerate any tankmates. One might tolerate a pleco but dont count on it.

That is actually highly dependent on how you keep it and the individual fish. Some are quite friendly while other are tankbusters. If a tank is decorated correctly they can be kept with most central american cichlids including smaller species such as the convict cichlid.
