I have a Oscar and was wondering if he can be put in with a Malawi cichlids? Anything else I should know?:help:

No. Malawis with malawis, haps with haps. Also, dont mix South americans with africans. African cichlids are not community fish either.


Also, your oscar would end up eating the malawis in the end.

What if the new fish are the same size of oscar. Oscar is only a few months old.

Still no.

CICHLIDS ARE NOT COMMUNITY FISH


Nor are oscars.

Besides the fact, that south american cichlids and malawis need WAY different water parameters.

That oscar will out grow you're Malawi's faster than you'd be able to react! Then you'd have 1 very full bellied fish and nothing else!
