Yesterday i did my substrate change and exchanged my silver perch striped & empire gudgeon and rainbow fish for 2 BN, and i was just wondering what u guys recommend i feed them?

there is still some algae on the rocks and driftwood but i am thinking i will need to give them more than just that to eat, so i am just looking for some suggestions =].
cheers.

This is a little late but they'll eat many vegetables. Cucumber, zucchini, most squash, romaine lettuce, sweet potato, green beans... many more.

Blanched veggies, they sink this way and pleco's go to town on them.

I gave my 7 or so BNP fry a blanched cuke about 15 minutes ago, they are about halfway done with it, first time they ever had it.

i have tried cucumber and pees so far, cucumber gets ignored by corys and BN but the Pees get a little bit of interest (they all have a little nibble, but they dont hang around there for very long).

i will try the other veg u suggested jeddi, thanx =].
and ill try blanching. that may help.

Thanks heaps for the replies =].

I know some people also feed fruits like melons and pears though I've never done it

Gotta blanch out veggies for the fish, if not they float. Leave the food whole when you blanch it, and you can freeze blanched veggies for later use.
if stored in the fridge its like a 1-2 day window to use it, freezing gives you alot longer.

awesome =]. thanks again. i might go do a zucchini now and throw it in the freezer.
i think ill chuck 2 or 3 smaller chunks in at a time, or my bigger and meaner BN will probs keep the corys and small BN from getting any.

I usually do 2-3 slices per tank to insure they all get some, either way it will get eaten by them.
