Hi I just set up a 10g and i would like to verify my stock. I have a pair of Kribensis, 4 rosy barbs, 2 guppy, 3 apple snails, and a shrimp. I am hoping for some info on this stock as if it too much or enough. Everyone seems ok at this time.

What filtration do you have? What is your water change schedule?

Presently i have a hob filter looking into introducing a cannister filter before the end of the month, (ordered just hasn't gotten here yet) I change approx 20%-30% every two weeks

I think a canister for a 10 gallon is unnecessary. 40 gallons perhaps but not a 10 gallon. I also think you are about as stocked as you should go.

What canister is it?
I would increase the water changes to weekly, and maybe up the amount as well.

Kribs get a bit too large for a 10 at four inches each, which'll make it pretty tight for the tankmates. Perhaps one of the little Aequidens (cuviceps would be a good choice at three inches) would be a better option.

From past experience, two kribs in a ten gallon can be a bit of a hassle. If they ever breed, watch out lol. Breeding kribs can be pretty aggresive and your other fish may have a hard time staying away in a ten gallon. Also you can never go worng with a canister, unless your fish are having a hard time fighting the current. Hope I helped alittle.
