fireshrimp- scavenger or no?

Ive had my fireshrimp for 2 weeks now, and have had no trouble with him. he keeps to himself and hides most of the time in LR. however, the store was very unclear with what he eats. is he a scavenger?

i paid about that much for him. they didnt have many other shrimp so i splurged

they may pretend to clean your fish but then attack them and kill them, so beware, but theyre detrivores

i heard that theyre friendly parasite scavengers, but no worries. the damsel is fast and the fireshrimp is always in the LR

its a scavenger
