What happens if I use the pure ammonia that has surfuctants to cycle my tank?

You must use the ammonia without the surfacants as the surfacants are toxic to the bacteria you are trying to cultivate and also the fish that will eventually be in the tank.

aaaa...I can't seem to find the pure stuff anywhere. However I have been testing my ammonia all week and I have been very pissed because it has been at least 8.0 ppm if not more which is off the charts. (I am currently doing the shrimp cycle method) So for the hell of it today I went to test my nitrites and its at almost 5.0 ppm. Is my cycle on the right track?
