Lighting for 20 Gallon Tank~

I purchased a 20 gallon tank along with a 30" aqueon deluxe hood with one slot for a t8 tube. it comes with a 14w 8000k light but is that enough to support plants?
also can i keep 2 pearls and 2 kissers in the same tank without much fighting.?

You could probably grow some low light plants in there with no problem. If you can up the bulb to a 24 watt, you might have better results.

i would upgrade the bulb but im not sure if the light fixture can handle it, it doesnt say how much wattage it could handle. anyone familiar with the aqueon single strip lights?
