Stupid Swordtails giving me a hell of a lot of trouble...

I think my female is pregnant :l I think she was pregnant when I bought her so I don't know how far along she is... She's big but not her belly isn't really fat, its proportionate to her body.. Shes a lot bigger than the male though.

Sorry for the bad pics, they're from my phone :P She was moving around too fast for me to get great shots..

ALMOST all ST females (and most other live bearers) come preggers. Can I tell from your photos? No. But chances are she is.

I have 7 black ST's that I've raised from fry. I love them, they're great fish, and unbeknownst to most, VERY good algae eaters. Heh. Mine devour algae like crazy. In fact they're so good at it that I'll often take plants that're covered in algae and toss them in with the ST's to pick them clean. Then I just replant the plant in it's original tank a couple days later.

I love Swordtails! They are much hardier than Guppies. I have them in my 29 gallon, 55 gallon and also a smaller group in my 125 gallon. If you don't want that they multiply like crazy, get a catfish which will eat the fry.

My swordtails get huge when their pregnant, looks like their going to explode. My tank is full of livebearers and swordtail fry outnumber the fry from my mollies, guppies and platies all put together.
